Rafael Ortiz joins PSINTL

Rafael Ortiz joined Peschard Sverdrup International in mid-September 2015 as an analyst in its Mexico City office. He joins us after over 15 years of government service assessing security and corruption risks in Mexico for various Mexican federal and state level government agencies, as well as the Federal Judicial Council. Among his various accomplishments, he participated in an inter-agency task force responsible for investigating and preventing the theft of oil and gasoline from the state-owned company Pemex. In the extractive sector, Mr. Ortiz has experience in the identification and analysis of actors who are involved or impacted by the operations of mining and energy companies, contributing to on-the-ground assessments which are necessary for the formulation of corporate social responsibility strategies. Mr. Ortiz brings with him years of experience gathering and analyzing intelligence, as well as investigating acts of corruption and tax evasion. He earned his law degree from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).
